Today, we celebrate the release of Craft 3, which is a huge achievement and a significant milestone for our Team and Community. It’s our biggest update ever, and showcases our vision for Craft's future.
Craft 3 is the most personal version of our app that we've ever created. From quickly capturing and organizing tasks, to building your collections, or picking the perfect style for a document; the new Craft adapts to your needs and what you need to do with it, today.
This flexibility lets you do more with Craft while reducing the cognitive load of switching between tools. Craft 3 is blazing fast, and offline-first; which means you never have to worry again about being unable to access important information when you need it.
For Craft to fulfil our vision for users, it needs to offer you space for your quarterly business strategy alongside your novel outline, home renovation plans, or whatever project you're working on. The app also needs to capture and support everything you need it to.
That's why Craft 3 is built around you. Our users are at the heart of what we do, and too many of us are drowning in a sea of tools for day-to-day life, and miss having a single space in which to capture, organize, think, and plan. Seeing everything you want to achieve and work on makes all the difference when it comes to focus and productivity. Craft helps you set priorities, capture thoughts, and reflect on them and develop them further, whenever and wherever.
This is what we've made, and it's why Craft 3 is the most cutting-edge personal productivity tool out there. We believe the best tools are built with care, attention, and a focus on users and the devices the app is used on. Our native apps are built for Apple Silicon chips, utilizing the latest frameworks and capabilities of these outstanding processors to ensure that you enjoy the best performance they can provide.
We've crafted this update with great care by working closely with more than 1,000 beta testers for the past 6 months to refine every aspect of existing and new features. So, yes, Craft 3 is a major leap forward, but it's not the final destination! The new, improved foundations will enable us to rapidly progress with integrating more powerful capabilities. It’s a glimpse of the future which we will build upon in 2025.

Tasks
We’ve introduced three major features to task management: a dedicated Task inbox for quick capture, a global view showing all your tasks in Craft, and the ability to schedule tasks and view them in the calendar.
These improvements are aligned with our belief that tasks are integral parts of docs, as we often think of them while making notes. This way information is not duplicated, and the entire context from where this task emerged is always present.
Collections
Collections is something we're delighted to offer as part of Craft’s organizational capability. It delivers the power of databases in a streamlined, easy-to-use interface. You can create flexible, personal databases within documents. Basically, it's perfect for organizing everything from reading lists, to project resources.
Building on Craft’s ability to nest content inside blocks, every item in a Collection can contain its own content. Build rich, contextual lists easily that are optimized to your personal workflow. This is amazing for a large number of use cases, like tracking home renovation ideas and costs, managing personal projects, building a knowledge library, and much more
Styling
We want everyone to be able to create their own digital home in Craft where they feel comfortable and in control, which is only possible if you can customize the look and feel to your own preferences. Styling brings an extensive set of capabilities which offer precisely this level of control. Just like other Craft features, it’s simple and surprisingly powerful; and allows you to create different worlds across docs. With Styling, it's simple to create and share all kinds of things; from children's party invitations, to professional documents for the workplace.
These unique, thoughtful features are what makes Craft 3 special. With this update, we've made the tool we dreamed of when we began working on Craft 1.0. I can't wait to share more during the coming months.
