Craft Docs Environmental, Social and Governance Policy

As a company, Craft Docs assumes social responsibility. The way we operate affects the environment and the lives of those who work with us and use our product. As a fast-expanding business, we want to integrate ESG topics into the company's management and operation to achieve environmentally and socially sustainable growth.

Our policy was developed in line with the guidelines of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with the aim to support our strategic decisions and daily work. We have defined six key objectives to help guide our operations, manage ESG risks and create long-term value for our business. These core values apply to all stakeholders, including our own employees and managers, suppliers, customers, and other partners, recognizing our responsibility for the entire supply chain:

Environmental Awareness

Objective 1: Reduce our carbon emissions from both direct and indirect sources.

To reduce our environmental footprint, we chose a BREEAM certified headquarters, allow for home working, and monitor the CO2 emissions generated from business travel. Our server park is operated by a partner company who is also committed to sustainable energy use, and regularly reports on its ESG performance. Moving forward we want to understand our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions better and minimise them as much as possible.

Objective 2: Minimise waste generation and handle waste responsibly.

Our goal is to repair and maintain as many broken electronic devices as possible, avoiding unnecessary waste generation and promoting the transition to a circular economy. After IT devices become obsolete, we ensure the proper disposal of any hazardous waste generated.

Social Welfare

Objective 3: Provide a healthy and safe work environment for our employees.

According to our Code of Conduct, we do not tolerate any form of unethical behaviour, harassment, or discrimination in our company. When choosing our headquarters, we focus on providing a physical environment where user well-being and safety are priorities.

Objective 4: Support diversity in our team.

At Craft Docs, it doesn’t matter what you look like, how old you are, where you are from - we believe the more diverse we are, the better and stronger our team is. Our recruiting strategy focuses on equal treatment and balanced gender ratios. Currently, half of our executive board is female, and we have a varied age composition across the company.

Responsible Governance

Objective 5: Ensure data privacy and security.

As an SaaS company, we pay special attention to confidentiality and integrity of our customers’ data and strive to minimise risk from unauthorized access. We put data protection and encryption policies in place to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of best practice.

Objective 6: Integrate ESG management in our operations.

Sustainability efforts can only be effectively implemented if they are embedded in the company's day-today operation. Sitting in our finance team, we have appointed persons responsible for overseeing the implementation of our ESG objectives.

The outlined Policy above serves as foundation for our company's strategic approach to ESG. It is important that the guidelines are complied with current market trends and legislation, so we are planning to review our ESG policy annually and update if necessary.
